Digital Competence and Capacity Explorer

This badge recognises participation in at least one practical action aimed at developing digital competencies or capacities within youth work. Whether as a young person, youth worker, or youth work manager, the earner has taken a tangible step toward enhancing their or their organisation’s digital readiness. The badge is grounded in key European frameworks, including DigComp 2.0, the Digital Competence Framework for Youth Workers, and the Digital Capacity Framework for Youth Work Organisations, as developed through the Digital Youth Work SNAC initiative.

Learning outcomes:
  • Increased awareness of personal or organisational digital strengths and development areas
  • Experience in applying digital self-assessment tools and frameworks in youth work practice
  • Insight into the strategic role of digital competencies and capacities in inclusion, participation, and innovation

  • Information and data literacy (DigComp 2.0)
  • Digital communication and collaboration (DigComp 2.0)
  • Using digital tools to support creative self-expression (Digital Competence Framework for Youth Workers)

This badge is issued in the activity development by the Digital Systemic Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership project.
Tasks
Task no.1
Evidence verified by: one activity organiser
To earn this badge, the individual must complete at least one of the following role-specific activities:
  • For young people: Use the Digital Skills Navigator to identify and reflect on personal digital skills
  • For youth workers: Engage with the Digital Practice Shaper to assess and develop professional digital youth work competences
  • For youth work managers: Apply the Digital Capacity Strategist to evaluate and plan organisational digital development

Submit one or more of the following evidence:
  • A screenshot or photograph from your involvement in an activity session on digital competences and capacities
  • A completed self-assessment using one of the recognised frameworks
  • A written reflection, learning journal, or action plan documenting your learning or actions taken on digital competencies and capacities
