This badge celebrates young people who use short videos to share real stories and inspire change in their communities. By completing this badge, you’ll learn how to plan, film, and publish a short video report about a topic that matters, such as plastic waste, environmental care, or any local issue you care about.

Task no.1

Watch this short video or tutorial about plastic waste (or pick another topic that’s important for your community).

Reflect briefly on what message stood out to you and how you could show something similar in your own video.

Task 2: Plan your story
Write a short script or plan for your video report. Think about what message you want to share and how you will show it.
Use these guiding questions to help you plan:
- What is your topic or main message (for example, reducing plastic waste)?
- Who or what will you film (people, places, activities, examples)?
- What will you say or show first, middle, and last?
- What feeling or idea do you want your audience to remember?
Your script doesn’t need to be long: a few bullet points or short sentences are enough.

Task 3: Film and Share Your Video Report
Use your script or plan to record a short video report (up to 2 minutes) that tells your story or shares your message.
You can film with a phone or tablet. Focus on clear visuals, sound, and a simple message.
When your video is ready:
- Edit it using a free tool (such as CapCut, Canva Video, or Clipchamp).
- Publish it on your youth organization’s or group’s social media or website.
- Share the link to your video and write 2–3 sentences about what you learned from making it.
