Digital Rights Advocate

This badge recognises individuals who have actively engaged in promoting young people’s digital rights through youth work. Earners have taken part in one of the role-specific activities (young people, youth workers, or youth work managers) and have contributed to a collaborative exchange across roles within their organisation. This joint process led to shared understanding and concrete steps for integrating digital rights into youth work practices or policies. The badge is grounded in the values of youth participation, inclusion, and digital empowerment.

Learning outcomes:
  • Clear understanding of young people’s digital rights in the context of youth work
  • Practical experience in implementing digital rights-related actions tailored to specific youth work roles
  • Ability to facilitate or participate in multi-stakeholder dialogue and collaborative planning around digital rights integration in youth work

This badge is issued in the activity development by the Digital Systemic Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership project.

To earn this badge, you must:
  1. Complete at least one role-specific activity and earn the corresponding badge: Digital Rights Aware (young people), Digital Rights Educator (youth workers) or Digital Rights Policy (youth work managers).
  2. Participate in a structured sharing session with others holding different role-based badges.
  3. Contribute to or co-create a documented agreement on how the topic of digital rights will be addressed or integrated into youth work practice or policy at the organisational level.

For the badge evidence, submit one or more of the following:
  • Documentation (e.g., screenshots, meeting notes, photos) of the exchange session held between roles (e.g., youth workers and young people, or youth workers and managers).
  • A summary of the results of the exchange, such as agreed decisions, joint action plans, updated organisational guidelines, or collaborative reflections.
