Awarded for successfully integrating digital rights education into youth work, this badge recognises your ability to support young people in navigating digital environments safely and ethically. Through participation in the “Empowering Young People’s Digital Rights in Youth Work” activities, you have demonstrated key competencies in facilitating learning, ethical digital engagement, and action planning.

Skills and experiences gained
This badge aligns with the Digital Competences in Youth Work Framework and supports the development of the following:
  • Supporting digital participation – Facilitating discussions and activities that enhance young people’s understanding of digital rights.
  • Digital ethics and responsibility – Recognizing and addressing ethical challenges in digital youth work.

Preparation:
  • Print the infographic for each participant
  • Use the infographic as a checklist for self-assessment on how digital rights are currently supported in youth work

Activity:
  • Step 1: Individually mark areas where digital rights are supported and identify gaps
  • Step 2: Discuss findings with your team and share examples of good practices and challenges
  • Step 3: Create a 6–12 month action plan to integrate digital rights into your activities
