This badge is awarded for active learning from the online workshop of the Digital Systemic blended course: “Broad-Minded and transformational working culture”.
- The culture shift and innovative cultures of today (adjusting to the expectations of Generation Z).
- The elements and models that support innovative cultures (from organisations that prioritise safety to fostering trust)
- Sharing good practices (from models to activities and experiments that support innovative cultures)
- The workshop included expert presentations and group discussions which encouraged participants to reflect on their digital youth work roles and share practice-based insights.
Participation in this workshop contributes especially to developing the following competences from the Digital Competence Framework for Youth Workers (DYW SNAC, 2023):
- Perception of digital youth work as a multiplicity of opportunities and challenges - Renewing youth work through collaboration and user-centrism.
- Understanding the diversity of digital youth work - Capacity to negotiate different views on digital transformation, digital youth cultures and digital youth work.
- Capacity to network and collaborate - The degree of collaborative practice, within youth work sector or outside of it (eg. technology partners).
- Renewing youth work - Integrating digital means into youth work. Finding new ways to express oneself and one’s concerns using digital tools.
This workshop contributes to strengthening human resources and competence development, as outlined in the Digital Capacities of Youth Work Organisations (DYW SNAC, 2023). It supports organisations in building structured, strategic approaches to developing digital competences among staff and volunteers.
The Cities of Learning Network appraises participants' engagement in developing digital youth work competencies through structured, non-formal online learning.
