  1. Spark the Idea: Identify a group of young people with an idea for a gaming or e-sports project. Use their intrinsic motivation (e.g., a desire for a Fortnite tournament) as the starting point and help them define a core mission.
  2. Establish the Process: Co-create a project plan with the youth, using tools like a Trello board to help them manage tasks. Adjust the process based on their capabilities and needs, ensuring a balance between productivity and fun.
  3. Build the Community and Content: Guide the youth in building their chosen digital safe space (e.g., a Discord server for the tournament) and empower them to create promotional material and to programme (e.g., setting up bot commands or creating a webpage with a no-code platform).
  4. Reflect and Learn: Document the co-creation process through content and quotes from the youth. Reflect on how this project revealed underlying challenges and how you guided the group to take ownership.
