To earn the "Strategic Digital Leader" badge, you must successfully complete the following tasks:

Vision Development and Strategic Implementation for Organisational Impact:
  • Develop a strategic vision for the integration of digital tools and creative projects (such as Rayuela) in the organisation's youth work, aimed at increasing the organisation's relevance and reach.
  • Implement policies and processes that support and facilitate the execution of such projects, and that contribute to the organisation's strategic goals.

Resource Allocation and Capacity Building for Sustainable Digital Initiatives:
  • Ensure the necessary resources (budget, technology, training) are in place to successfully execute and embed digital projects within the organisation.
  • Invest in the digital skills of youth workers through training and professional development, in order to bring about a sustainable digital transformation.

Policy Development and Risk Management in a Digital Context:
  • Develop and implement robust policies regarding online safety, privacy, and ethical use of social media in projects with young people, in line with organisational values and legal frameworks.
  • Proactively manage potential risks related to digital projects and ensure appropriate protocols are in place to safeguard the organisation's reputation and integrity.

Innovation and Sharing of Best Practices for Organisation-wide Growth:
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the team and the organisation, where experimenting with new digital tools and methods is encouraged as a means of continuous improvement.
  • Identify, document, and share best practices in the field of digital youth development, both internally to increase organisation-wide knowledge, and externally to position the organisation as a leader in the field.

Impact Measurement and Accountability for Strategic Decision-Making:
  • Develop measurable methods to quantify and evaluate the impact of digital projects on young people, the community, and organisational objectives.
  • Report on the progress and results of digital initiatives to relevant stakeholders (board, funders, partners) to inform strategic decision-making and demonstrate the value of youth work.

Collaboration and Networking for External Strengthening:
  • Form strategic partnerships with technology companies, educational institutions, government bodies, and other organisations to increase digital opportunities for young people and strengthen the organisation's position.
  • Actively contribute to relevant networks and platforms for knowledge sharing in the field of digital youth development, in order to increase the organisation's influence and expertise.
